A video of Ezio killing some italian dude [Comments Off]
I know I sometimes say not-so-nice things about Ubisoft Montreal, but that doesn’t change the fact that, the Kristen Bell fiasco non-withstanding, “Assassin’s Creed 2″ is probably the finest showcase of the prowess of the current generation of consoles. Good job, Jade.
This new trailer depicts, how fitting, the assassination of Emilio Barbario. Check it out, after the break. continue reading →
Ubisoft Montreal are talentless hacks [Comments Off]
“Assassin’s Creed 2″ is the most beautiful game I’ve ever seen. It really is stunning how well Ubisoft realized Venice and Florence in the ren… what am I talking about, look at that. It’s a disgrace. You get someone as stunningly beautiful as Kristen Bell to star in your game and the best you can do is that abomination of a character.
The takeaway point is, really, that if, in the future, we will have 3D-modelled family-portraits, you might not want Ubisoft Montreal to do yours.
Kristen Bell is back for Assassin’s 2 [Comments Off]
So, apparently Kristen Bell will return in “Assassin’s Creed 2″ to reprise her role as, uh… that chick that helps Desmond do… stuff with that thing. Any excuse to post a picture of that lovely actress, really — who happens to be the only thing more stunning about the game than the game itself.
Don’t crush her in your fantasies, she’s tiny, yo. Have a nice weekend.
Avatar “Gameplay Montage”-Trailer [Comments Off]
Hey, it’s Saturday! Are you going to party? I thought so! Are you going to invite James Cameron? I agree, it would be awkward. He, famous director and producer of movies, you, reading wearetheinternetz in your pajamas. It’s cool though, because we have a li’l something something so your Saturday does not have to be entirely James Cameron free!
Ubisoft just released a “gameplay montage”, their pretentious words, not ours, of “James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game”, so you can either watch that, or rent Titanic. Or Aliens.
If you chose the former, hit the break. continue reading →
Assassin’s Creed 2 – PC Version Delayed [1]
Okay, look. I told myself that when I would write an article, I’d be nice and composed. Simple task right? But when stuff like this happens I just feel like I’ve gotta… *exhale* Okay. I’m good.
So, Ubisoft, via Twitter, said the delay gave the devs more time to “deliver the best quality game to you.”
FINE! BE THAT WAY!
Flips the conference table and storms out.

Ubisoft announced over at TGS that “Splinter Cell Convicion” will be in stores on February 23rd for both Xbox 360 and PC. Expect the PC release date to slip. Just kidding. Or am I? To commemorate the event, they also deemed necessary to release a new trailer. We approve.

2010 is the new 2009 – Ubi titles delayed [Comments Off]
“Splinter Cell Conviction” and “Red Steel 2″ will have been moved to 2010, as in the 4th fiscal quarter..
Today, Ubisoft announced that Splinter Cell: Conviction and Red Steel 2, two games that were expected to be released this holiday, have been pushed back to Ubisoft’s fiscal fourth quarter — which starts January 1st, 2010.
“Splinter Cell Conviction and Red Steel 2, whose releases were previously planned for the third fiscal quarter, will now be released in the fourth fiscal quarter,” a press release, detailing Ubisoft’s fiscal first quarter results reads.
I know it seems like pulling a Capcom and releasing top IPs in the first half of the year is a good idea, but if everyone starts doing so, it becomes futile. In Ubisoft’s case, it does make some sense, as “Spliter Cell Conviction” would be competing for the same market as “Assassins Creed 2″.
