iPad killers commit suicide

Both the Microsoft Courier and the HP Slate are done.

Profound sadness.

Reisinger has an opinion, is wrong

Don Reisinger, Reisi to his friends, is a tool. He also blogs for CNet about “the tech closest to home”. Unfortunately, he is always wrong or just seems generally malinformed. It is also worth to note that he is most likely on Microsoft’s payroll.

Here’s a couple of gems from Reisi’s latest article that I will post here for comedic purposes. I will refrain from linking to them because this guy is getting more attention than he should anyway.

Taking voice acting out of games not only saves on development costs (voice acting can be expensive, after all), but it also saves room on game discs. That’s why some developers have left voice acting out of their titles.

Reisi, baby, name one major HD AAA release that did that.

Metal Gear Solid is well-known for its voice acting, but it has become overabundant and at times quite annoying.

I can see why some people would think that, but in Reisi’s case;

Voices might even help them enjoy the game more. Gears of War seems proof of that. That title’s voice acting was stellar.

You know what is overabundant and at times quite annoying? The shoddy writing and the juvenile dialogue in the — albeit fantastic — “Gears of War” series.

I, to this day, do not understand how this guy gets to keep his job. Everyone has the right to an opinion, but if you’re wrong, it stops being an opinion, and Reisi is wrong every god-damn time.

I will end this segment with a quote from Don’s own blog, which couldn’t be more ironic. You know, like that song by that annoying Canadian chick that starred in Dogma.

The tech industry has a problem. An incredibly serious problem. Sure, it’s the one industry that is carrying us into the next decade, is providing us with many of the benefits of life, and generally means more than most others, but we’re being overrun by a bunch of idiots who know nothing. And to make matters worse, those idiots are people that are in a position to make important decisions about the life and death of this industry.

I should really make this a weekly thing, eventhough I still hope this kid does a barrel roll into oblivion.
