DarkSiders demo hitting Xbox Live & PSN [3]
THQ would like you to know that there will be a demo for “DarkSiders” on the Xbox LIVE Marketplace come February 25th.
As far as I understood from the press release, the demo of the game might be available on PS3 as well, but not in Germany. I’ll update this space once I know more.
Update: Yup, PSN is also getting the demo. Sorry, Gemany.
The demo will feature the entire ‘Twilight Cathedral’ section of the game. This will give you a pretty good look at the game, as that part of the game lasts about an hour or more.
You should totally check it out once it hits.

Gigliotti: “we’re talking about” Darksiders sequel, multiplayer possible [Comments Off]
In an interview with GameAxis, THQ Creative Director Luis Gigliotti confirmed that a sequel to “Darksiders” is definitely being “talked about”:
“We’re talking about it. Although nothing is confirmed, it could, it may have a multiplayer element to it.”
While the guys at THQ are already busy thinking about the sequel, check out the developer walkthrough after the break for the first part, which drops in January for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. continue reading →
Darksiders Packshot looks awesome [Comments Off]
I don’t usually do this, but I’ll make an exception this time, because “Darksiders” probably has the nicest box-art of a current-gen title I’ve seen so far.
Check it out in a whopping 1500×1700 after the break.

Dawn of War 2: Chaos Rising is hot in a cold way [Comments Off]
Looks like one of the best PC games this year is getting an expansion: “Dawn of War 2: Chaos Rising” introduces the Chaos Marines and at least one new terrain set, which is prominently displayed in the gallery. I’ll give you a hint: It’s rather cold.
Take a look!

Relic games 50% off on Steam [1]

This weekend, Steam gives you real-time strategy heavyweight Relic’s games for 50% less than on other weekends or weekdays! The promotion includes “Dawn of War 2″, “Dawn of War” and “Company of Heroes”.
“Dawn of War 2″ just got a huge patch adding a metric fuckton of extra content and is my personal recommendation. It’s as if “Diablo” and “Starcraft” had a baby!
Pachter: Darksiders affected by Q1 glut [136]
In a statement to Joystiq, Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan noted that the delay of some major releases to Q1 2010 will have a negative effect on some games — not exactly Rocket Science, but still peculiar he would single out “Darksiders”:
With such an unprecedented Q1 glut in 2010, it’s a little difficult for Pachter to predict what will happen. He does, however, worry that some games are still going to fall between the cracks. “I think the biggest problem you’re going to see is that Q1 is now equally crowded, especially considering they’re going to be relatively low-dollar months. Think of something like Darksiders coming then, I think it’s going to be hard for a Darksiders to stand out.”
Not going to lie, I’m a little worried about “Darksiders” myself, but the title I am most concerned about is “Bayonetta”. While the SEGA published, Platinum Games developed title will not have a hard time standing out, but selling copies.
New DarkSiders video footage is hitting the net [Comments Off]

DarkSiders: Wrath of War is looking mighty impressive these days, which is irrefutable fact, demonstrated by the video-evidence shown below.
In a nutshell, this game is the bastard son of inFamous and God of War. The player takes the role of War, one of the horsemen of the apocalypse, who is banished to earth to prove his innocence about bringing the untimely apocalypse over the world. Art-Direction on this title is handled by Joe Madureira, so it should look somewhat agreeable.
Darksiders is being developed by Vigil Games and published by THQ, and will be releasing at some point this year for Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3.
