Bad Company 2 gets 4 vs. 4 vs. 4 vs. 4 Squad Deathmatch mode [Comments Off]
DICE EA has just announced that “Battlefield: Bad Company 2″ will feature a mode called ‘Squad Deathmatch’, pitting 4 squads of 4 against each other on a special set of maps designed specifically for that gametype, each featuring a single armored vehicle at the center of the map.
The video announcing said mode, and a new map — breathtaking, can be found after the break.

Bad Company 2: A Man, A Plan, A Canal, Panama [Comments Off]
EA has decided to do a stealth-unveil of a new “Battlefield: Bad Company 2″ multiplayer map called ‘Panama Canal’. It looks just like you would expect: Awesome.
The footage in the video stems from the 360 version, which is a nice break from seeing PS3 versions of games all the damn time. I hope your sarcasm meter caught that. Check the vid after the break. Oscar mike!

Army of Two: The 40th Day demo dropping this week [Comments Off]
EA is a bit demo-crazy lately, dropping yet another taste of a 2010 blockbuster on PSN and Xbox Live, this time the title in question being “Army of Two: The 40th Day”. The demo will include most of the 1st level of the game and should be available this thursday.
A demo for the PSP will follow in January — we’ll give you heads up.
AP: Rock Band 2 is game of the decade [Comments Off]
Contrary to what you might believe, the Associated Press does cover gaming-news. Not only that, but they also managed to compile a fairly good top 10 of 2009 list (“Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” won that), but the top honor, being called AP’s Game of the Decade went to Harmonix’s “Rock Band 2″.
Here’s why:
“Harmonix Music Systems provided an entirely new type of video-game experience with “Guitar Hero,” giving all of us the chance to live out our rock-star dreams. “Rock Band 2″ is Harmonix’s fullest realization yet of that ideal – and the one game I keep coming back to whenever I just want to have fun.”
Fantastic choice. It’s also fairly cool to see that a niche title such as “Demon’s Souls” got a nod from such an established publication.

Dead Space 2 is official [1]
EA has sent out a press-release confirming the existance of “Dead Space 2″. The game, which has yet to see a release date — or an estimate thereof — will be released on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Steve Papoutsis is helming the project, he has previously worked on “Dead Space” and also “Soul Reaver”. He’s pretty pumped:
“The infection continues to spread throughout space and our hero Isaac Clarke is the only person able to contain it. There are still loads of Necromorphs that need killing. In Dead Space 2, not everything is exactly as it seems. Expect plot twists that will surprise you and a huge cast of twisted, disgusting monsters that are sure to scare the daylights out of you.”
We loved “Dead Space”. We expect good things. No pressure, Steve!
Dead Space 2 rorschach-ing it up [Comments Off]
This picture has reached us via what seems to be the official “Dead Space” twitter account. It shows a rorschach blot depicting the silhouettes of various Necromorphs and the marker.
The message below reads “The nightmare is over but it will not end.” (via Kotaku)
I don’t know about you guys, but I am scared already.

Left 4 Dead 2 now lag-free on Xbox 360 [Comments Off]
According to a post on the official “Left 4 Dead 2″ blog, Valve has now fixed the immensely laggy multiplayer part of the game:
We have upgraded our network infrastructure to better accommodate the huge response to L4D2. 360 players will now have lag-free servers. We’ve also added more dedicated servers.
No longer will you have to live in fear, thinking your internet connection is busted, cursing at your ISP. For what it’s worth, and anecdotal evidence is not worth a lot, my connection went from one red bar to 3 full green bars. That’s quite an improvement.
