Battlefield: Bad Company 2 PS3 Demo! [1]
North American PS3 users will be treated to a Battlefield: BC2 demo available on the Playstation Network tomorrow (February 4, 2010). If you’re anything like the way I am, you’ll have it downloaded before they even have it up, some… how. Surely, I didn’t have a time machine or anything.
Off-screen: Seth! These nickel hotdogs from the 50s are amazing! I mean, you can really taste the rodent!
Oh, man. You didn’t just hear that. *jedi mind trick*
First Crysis 2 article scans hit the net [Comments Off]
First scans of the german magazine PC Games’ February issue have hit the net which features a cover story on “Crysis 2″.
The follow up to “Crysis” will take part in a different kind of jungle: the player will get to traverse New York City sporting an all new Nano Suit, which now features a tactical visor, enabling its wearer to scan the environment for enemies, weapon drops and information and to eavesdrop on enemy chatter.
Interesting side-note: PC Games editor Christian Schütter claims they have been shown the Xbox 360 version of the game exclusively. Quite a weird choice for a PC gaming magazine visiting a dev-shop with a strong PC heritage.
You can check out the scans here.

Medal Of Honor to use 2 engines [Comments Off]
DICE’s Johann Andersson has just confirmed via Twitter that EA’s “Medal of Honor” reboot, tentatively scheduled for the 2nd half of 2010 will be using 2 different engines.
Guess it is out today: EALA uses a heavily-modified Unreal Engine 3 for Medal of Honor SP and we, DICE, use Frostbite for the MP portion.
This is certainly interesting. Does this mean we will be able to blow building to smithereens in multiplayer, but not in singleplayer? We’ll keep you posted.
EA’s real problem [Comments Off]
EA’s announcement that their results for the fiscal year 2010 will come in lower than expected should not come to a surprise to anyone. MTV’s Multiplayer (accidentally) summed up what’s really wrong with EA:
Don’t run out and spend $60 on ["Army of Two: The 4th Day"], but definitely consider it for a rental or a future budget buy.
Unfortunately this is true for most of EA’s games these days.
