Okami’s world “doesn’t belong” to Hideki Kamiya anymore [6]
Making a sequel to “Okami”, one of the best games to come out on the PS2, and bring it to the DS seems like a genius idea. However, there’s one person who might feel a bit betrayed — Hideki Kamiya, the game’s creator. In a recent interview with GameInformer, he had the following thing to say about the sequel:
“Up until very recently I really felt someday I wanted to make a sequel to Okami, and there were others who wanted me to as well. But then the other day I heard the announcement that someone else would be making a sequel and now I’m just not interested in it anymore. Once someone else touches a world that you yourself created it stops being yours. There is no point in making a sequel when the world doesn’t belong to you.”
It’s a bit of a bummer that Hideki Kamiya might not be fully behind Capcom’s sequel to “Okami”, but the series is certainly in capable hands at Capcom: “Okamiden” is being directed by Kuniomi Matsushita, who worked on the Wii port of “Okami”, and produced by Motohide Eshiro, who has worked on several other beloved Capcom properties, such as “Onimusha” and “Ace Attorney”.

Next up is Capcom’s very own Zero from the Mega Man X/ Mega Man Zero series of games. Zero comes equipped with his trusty Mega Buster, Plasma Sword and some very speedy moves. And stay away from his Ultra combo, that Plasma Sword is no joke.

Monster Hunter Freedom Discount [Comments Off]
In Japan, the “Monster Hunter” series of games by Capcom is a cultural phenomenon, eclipsing even the likes of “Halo”; in Europe? Not so much!
Maybe that’s why Capcom discounted the newest entry of the series, it came out this June, to € 20,90 this week — that’s a saving of € 19,00.
If you’re on the fence, this is as cheap as it is going to get for a while.
