Here’s what you need to know about Activision’s Bungie deal:
- Activision will distribute all titles in an all new multi-platform franchise.
- Bungie remains very much a free agent, keep ownership of all their IP and Studio.
- Their “Halo” related business remains unchanged.
So next time you’re all like “OH MAH GOD ACTIVISION IS GOING TO DESTROY BUNGIE”, please don’t be. It’s all good.

Curious:
Universal Gaming Profile
Windows is fighting back with their next generation of phones, which allow users to connect to Xbox Live and even earn achievements on the go. The iPhone already has several 3rd party achievement-based systems which allow users to keep friends lists for gaming. But they’re all segmented! OpenFeint, Plus+ and its ilk should unify into one grand gaming system with universal friends lists and “achievements.” Apple could tie to to your iTunes profile account so setting it up would be a snap.
Will never, should never happen. OpenFeint and Plus+ are annoying enough as it is. Everything else is spot-on.
Update: That crow sure is tasty. GameCenter is in.
