PS3 hacked by the same guy who hacked the iPhone [2]
George Hotz, an american hacker has managed the unthinkable — the same man responsible for your not-at&t iPhones has found a way to circumvent the PS3’s hypervisor and make the PlayStation 3 play homebrew and pirated games.
He states, the hack is 5% hardware and 95% software based. The BBC News has more on this.
Sony has yet to comment on the issue, but we will post their response as soon as there is one.
Thanks to our dear reader Ponza. We owe you a beer or two.
Medal Of Honor to use 2 engines [Comments Off]
DICE’s Johann Andersson has just confirmed via Twitter that EA’s “Medal of Honor” reboot, tentatively scheduled for the 2nd half of 2010 will be using 2 different engines.
Guess it is out today: EALA uses a heavily-modified Unreal Engine 3 for Medal of Honor SP and we, DICE, use Frostbite for the MP portion.
This is certainly interesting. Does this mean we will be able to blow building to smithereens in multiplayer, but not in singleplayer? We’ll keep you posted.
New Modern Warfare 2 glitch makes you the MVP [1]
So, in hindsight, not having a public beta test for “Modern Warfare 2″ might not have been such a good idea.
Currently a video showing a custom built loadout is making it’s rounds on the web, getting quite some traction on digg, so you might have already seen this, but it’s important to get the word out. If this loadout becomes any sort of popular you might as well stop playing “MW2″, because no one stands a chance against this.
The kit consists of: ‘One Man Army’ perk, an Assault Rifle with a F2000 grenade launcher (a.k.a. ‘noob tube’), and the ‘Scrambler’ perk.
Now, hit the break and watch what happens. continue reading →
