If you are having sleepless nights because you are pondering if an EMP strike can cancel a tactical nuke or if a bursting fire hydrant can kill you, you should probably watch the video posted after the break.
This fan-made “Modern Warfare 2″ Mythbusters video is not only educational, it also goes to show how meticulous the level of detail in Infinity Ward’s work is.

Mag Technology Could Support More Than 256 Players [2]
Zipper’s “MAG” supports an already astounding number of 256 players simultaneously — a first for a shooter, but guess what, according to Chief Software Architect Mike Klee, it could potentially support even more:
We built a technology that can support a huge number of players — we picked 256 because of gameplay balance, how we divide squads up, etc. But with our infrastructure, we can increase the number of players to beyond even 256 if we wanted to. There are trade-offs that would have to be made, of course, but the technology supports even more players if the need was there.
And there we were, thinking 256 was a lot. “MAG” is out this January on PlayStation 3. The beta just ended, sorry you had to find out this way. (via the MAG Blog)
Bethesda’s got Rage, EA … not anymore they don’t [Comments Off]
As of today, id’s “Rage” will be published by Bethesda, and not through the EA Partners program as previously announced. For you, as a person who purchases video game software, this doesn’t mean anything, really. Should you be an investor, you might be glad that this will probably raise Bethesda’s laughable Metacritic average.
More importantly (via PR):
The ongoing development of RAGE is unaffected by this development.
Which means that it’s still out “when it is done”, and not any time sooner, on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Oh, Mac. Of course.
First Red Dead Redemption gameplay trailer [3]
We’ve already seen what Rockstar’s “Red Dead Redemption” looks like, but so far, we didn’t really know what it was about, or how it plays. To alleviate that, Rockstar has released a new trailer for the game, showing us just that.
The trailer, which is posted after the break, seems to be the first in a series of videos introducing us to the title. This is a must-see, the game looks absolutely stunning.

A demo for the PSP will follow in January — we’ll give you heads up.
Watch the Halo: Reach VGA trailer [Comments Off]
The brand new trailer to “Halo: Reach” that was shown yesterday is now available on Bungie.net for download in all kinds of resolutions.
Digital Foundry’s Richard Leadbetter already tweeted that the trailer might not have been all that in-game, though:
Ultra-high AA strongly suggest that the Halo: Reach trailer isn’t as in-game as [Geoff Keighley] promised it would be.
Basically, one cam assume that in-game assets were used, but with some added AA to pretty it up for the premiere. It’s still worth watching, mind. We have the Youtube version for you after the break. continue reading →
Uncharted 2 wins Game of the Year at Spike VGAs [Comments Off]
Title says it all, really. The Internetz does not necessarily share the same opinion, but we can totally stand behind this.
Congratulations to Naughty Dog and Sony!
German retailers selling Bayonetta already [Comments Off]
According to several reports around the internet, German retails couldn’t care less about “Bayonetta”’s street date, and chains such as Media Markt are already selling the game — which would further explain the PAL version already showing up on illegal file-sharing websites.
If you are looking for proof, look no further than NeoGAF, where users have posted pictures of their bought copies.
