Capcom delays Lost Planet 2, Super Street Fighter IV, Monster Hunter Tri

Japanese publisher Capcom has delayed 3 of its most anticipated titles to the next fiscal year, meaning “Super Street Fighter IV”, “Lost Planet” and “Monster Hunter Tri” will be released between April 2010 and March 2011.

The publisher cited the following reasons for the move:

- Avoid competing with the major titles that other companies plan to introduce
in the 4th quarter
- Preserve the value of Capcom’s titles and maximize sales volume
- Expand the lineup of titles in the next fiscal year and afterward

Basically: “Final Fantasy XIII” is the new “Modern Warfare 2″. Hell, I’m scared too.
Oh also, for kicks, the sales forecast for “Dark Void” has gone from 2 million to 600,000 in 6 months. That sure boosts people’s confidence in the quality of the title.
