Sony Ninjas dispatched to fix Bayonetta on PS3 for Western Release?
Gamekyo is reporting that the PS3 release of Platinum Games’ “Bayonetta” might be seeing a little help from Sony’s very own squad of engineering ninjas. Translated from french by our very own Jessica Thomson:
According to them [UltimatePS3@.fr], Sega and Platinum Games have taken responsibility for the bad port before deciding to work with the assistance of an engineering team from Sony to guarantee a PS3 version equal to the level of the console’s power.
Hear, hear. Maybe that delay until January will prove itself fruitful in the long-run. We’ll be seeing the game in 2 weeks, so we’ll let you know if it looks any better. It better.

Batman is not from what I’ve read with PS3 camera showing more and Borderlands has terrible blurry textures on 360 and is much sharper on PS3(I’ve played both),and that suits the visual style and is more important than a couple of fx the 360 has in it’s version.Assassins Creed 2 looked better on 360 in screens I’ve seen. What I’ve seen of Bayonetta,360 version does look a lot better.I’ve played PS3 demo and it looked ok.I enjoyed the demo but I didn’t feel I was in the presence of greatness, and actually preferred God of War3 demo. |

Batman was equal, if not better, on PS3, Assasin’s Creed 2 was a toss up, Borderlands also was a toss up. Bayonetta was VERY noticeably worse on PS3. Huge amount of tearing, low framerate, muddier textures, the works. It was like being back in late 2006 again. If they fix it, they get my cash, if not there’s plenty of other games worthy of my money. |

Actually, Batman was the same except for missing AA on PS3. Just saying. Anyhow, Bayonetta IS noticably worse on PS3 but still perfectly playable, but it would be good if SEGA still decided to do something about it. I’ll ask them next week, if I can. |

I played the bayonetta demo on the PS3 and i don’t know why ppl talk sou much abut it cause the difference isn’t that BIG same gos for AC2 and borderlands which i think looks better on the PS3… |

people who don’t actually buy two versions of a game and compare on their systems should not go telling other people which version is better (i’m talking about comments psoted, ftr). and lens of truth is one of the worst 360 fanboy bs sites i’ve ever seen, but that’s what most people accept as fact. like the “borderlands is blurry on ps3″ comment – rubbish. maybe when you load it up, so there’s a 2 seconds of blurry pixels BEFORE YOU START PLAYING but that’ it. |

borderlands is actually sharper on ps3, which lens of truth also said. just stick to Digital Foundry, Richard Leadbetter is the sure thing. |

I can’t say which version is better but from the PS3 demo I don’t think the game looks bad. Looks just fine to me. |

whatever people are bitching about is complete utter bollocks!
there is barely a difference between the PS3 and 360 versions, playing both i cant notice much of a difference this is completely being blown out of proportion.
the 360 version of batman AA, borderlands, assassins creed 2 is slightly better than the ps3 version but i dont hear anyone bitching about those.
bayonetta is a brilliant game, better than DMC4.
and it takes allot for me to say that because i really loved DMC4.
