Gearbox working on resolving Borderlands PS3 issues

PlayStation 3 gamers who have picked up Gearbox’ “Borderlands” might be in for quite a surprise, nay, shocker: There’s some connectivity problems with the game. To be more exact, it seems that for now, there is no way to invite your PSN friends to your game. But worry not, as the guys at Gearbox are hard at work rolling out a solution that will alleviate these issues. Scott Velasquez on the official Gearbox forum:

“We’ve identified the problem and are working on a fix. Believe it or not, the friends feature was heavily tested by Gearbox and 2K. However, this particular issue we found could have never manifested itself in our or 2K’s test environments.”

While it is probably very upsetting, it is good to know that Gearbox are aware and working on the fix. We will update you once the patch goes live. (via G4)

This game, it’s seriously fun and i want to do nothing but sing it’s praises, but it’s so fucking broken. people (including me) are having everything from minor UI glitches, to misplaced waypoints, to mandatory events not being triggered, to one of lilith’s top tier powers not doing…anything. and…you know…not being to invite your friends.

gearbox owes us a patch and an apology. i’ll be waiting by the phone, Mr. Pitchford.
