Is A Crack In Time the end for Ratchet & Clank?
CNN, of all places, reports that “Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time” might be the last entry in Insomniac’s long-running PlayStation franchise. They’ve got evidence to back it up, too; like this statement from Brian Allgeier, the game’s creative director:
“Never say never, but people need that closure. We hope to be wrapping things up with a bow.”
Seeing how every Sony first party studio has abandoned their mascot-franchises (Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch come to mind), it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to see Insomniac also focussing on more mature content. Yes, we are totally hoping for yearly “Resistance” sequels. If you disagree, you’re dead to us, because “Resistance” brings all the boys to the yard.
