Cooperative shooter for the Wii – The Grinder [Comments Off]

Yes, yes! Big high-five for High Voltage again, as they’ve revealed another game being developed in their lab – The Grinder. This title is a Nintendo Wii exclusive, just like yesterday’s Gladiator A.D., but this is a FPS… inspired by Left 4 Dead’s cooperative gameplay! You read it right, a cooperative FPS for the Wii, playable by 4, only in this case, werewolves and vampires are your enemies, not zombies, as in L4D. And when you can go crazy in co-op mode with your friends, who gives a damn, that the idea of the game is not a unique one? I’d play L4D for years, if new maps were released more often. There’s only one thing better then slaying zombies, werewolves and vampires… slaying humans, as werewolves and vampires! But that we’ll have to wait. Meanwhile, take a look at the screenshots and read the interview on this promising game, after the break. continue reading →

When David Jaffe, of Twisted Metal and God of War fame, is not taking his daughters to Disney World, he works as a game designer for Eat Sleep Play.
Unfortunately, we still do not know what exactly he is working on, and it will stay that way for quite some time, as we just received confirmation that his new project will not be shown at E3 2009. 2010 however?
“Next year, I fully expect us to be on the show floor, part of me would love to announce at E3, so you walk into the Sony booth and bam, there’s our game.”
Don’t believe us? Jaffe can tell you in person, after the break. continue reading →
