Needz moar Left 4 Dead – updated

Can there ever be enough Left 4 Dead? No. Valve agrees, and starting this spring we will see a lot more content added to the game on both Xbox 360 and PC simultaneously.

The first of these content packs, titled “Survival”, will feature the maps Dead Air and Death Toll playable in versus mode but also a completely new mode called, you guessed it, Survival, where 4 players will face a never ending onslaught of zombies and a stopwatch on 12 maps.

PC users will also finally get their hands on the SDK, which means awesome new maps and mods straight from the community.

The add-on content is scheduled for a release this spring. It is unclear if Xbox 360 users will have to pay for this content but it is implied that buyers of the PC version should expect this to be free.

Update: Valve has now confirmed that both versions will get the DLC for free. Rejoice!
