Ninja Blade gets release date, demo [Comments Off]
FromSoftware’s Xbox 360 exclusive Ninja Brawler Ninja Blade is set to drop on the 3rd of April with a demo scheduled for the 6th of March.
Ninja Blade takes players on a journey to Tokyo in the not-so-distant future where humanity is threatened by a plague. Good thing we have ninjas, then — with blades, nontheless!
Quake Live goes back to the future [Comments Off]

id Software’s free online-shooter Quake Live is now in public beta, which means you can go play a web-browser based Quake 3 Arena for free.
The game boasts a refined interface, a powerful website with thorough stats and — oh boy are you going to love this — achievements!
You can frag your friends and total strangers in six modes including Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch and Clan Arena!
For now, the game only supports Internet Explorer and Firefox on Windows based platforms, but according to Carmack, the Mac and Linux versions are high on his priority list.
So there, go play, but be patient, you might have to stand in line.
PSP 2009 Line-Up is impressive [Comments Off]

Hey so… PlayStation 3 — awesome. That PSP… not so great, huh? Now, what would happen, if Little Big Planet, Motorstorm, Rock Band and Assassins Creed came to the PSP? Can you imagine? That would be a proper line-up for Sony’s handheld. Well, you can stop imagining, because it is all true.
Not only will PSP owners get to play an entirely new — and awesome — chapter of the Resistance saga with Retribution, they will also get 4 actually awesome franchises compressed onto the li’l one.
Maybe in all fairness I should mention the bad news too: there will be a Lilac colored Hannah Montana PSP, but you can just, you know, not buy it.
Xbox 360 Bundle Time! [Comments Off]

Microsoft likes to go a little crazy with bundles sometimes — for the good of all of us!
Fresh on the heels of Halo Wars will be a brand new Best of Halo Bundle that will include an Xbox 360 Pro console with Halo 3 as well as Halo Wars. The price is sensational – this bundle will run you € 269,90. I could’ve sworn this was a typo in the press-release.

Resident Evil 5 is serious business, and will also get it’s own bundle. Not only will this include an all pimped-out red elite console (huge picture, check it out!), but a copy of Resident Evil 5 and a code to redeem the fuck-awesome Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix. Yours for € 299.
Capcom announces Lost Planet 2 [Comments Off]

Today on the Xbox Live Marketplace, Jun Takeuchi, currently helming the fifth entry of the Resident Evil series, announced Lost Planet 2, the sequel to 2007’s icey bug-hunt.
The announcement video, which you can find here, features a foreword by Takeuchi as well as a developer Q&A.
While the trailer looks amazing, no time-frame for the release or platform availability has been announced yet. However, if this game was Xbox 360 exclusive, there would be a big fat banner at the end of the trailer, so before it will be stated otherwise, we will assume this game is multiplatform.
Deal of the Week: Braid [Comments Off]

Why haven’t you bought Braid yet??? Well, now is your chance, as Microsoft’s kick-off to “Deal of the Week” you will get the Johnathan Blow’s Puzzle-Platformer for as low as 800 Microsoft Points!
From now on, Xbox LIVE subscribers will get a different game at least 25% off every monday starting — duh — today. Awesome!
This week in gaming: Glowing red eyes [Comments Off]

After this week’s megaton that was Street Fighter 4, next week is shaping up equally impressive with 2 high profile releases on both console fronts.
KILLZONE 2 will take PLAYSTATION 3 owners into the thick of the invasion of Helghan. Quite frankly, this could be the shooter of the year so if you own a PS3 and are somewhat into shooters, you would do yourself a huge disservice if you didn’t pick this one up. Gorgeous graphics, an engaging single-player experience and the best multiplayer since Call of Duty 4 more than warrant a purchase of this title.
Keep in mind to make sure your PS3 doesn’t explode from teh awesome.
HALO WARS for the Xbox 360 on the other hand is not a shooter, eventhough the Halo name does suggest shooting excellence, this title excells in a different area. The last game from Ensemble Studios takes the much beloved franchise into the realtime strategy genre. The demo should be proof that this game is a resounding success in gameplay and production values. Check out our preview here.
Safe to say that you can’t go wrong with either game. That is, if you will not sink all next week into practicing your focus cancels and Shoryukens.
